Ice Out

During a signage check this week at one of our land listings on Branch Lake (this one on Phillips Way), a unique event unfolded and I happened to be at just the right spot to enjoy it.  After a morning of rain and high humidity, the clouds broke for an hour or so and poured down sunshine onto the still frozen lake.  You can see the sun’s reflection in the 10′ or so of lake that has thawed.  The remainder of the frozen lake blends into the foggy horizon sitting stubbornly on the lake’s surface.  Surreal!  Inspiring too, because this confirms two things: 1) Ice out is underway. 2) The sun is still up in the sky.  Somewhere.
