Fiddleheads in Ellsworth
It’s that enchantingly delicious time of year again. The season for our beloved patron saint, the humble fiddlehead, to make its appearance along the banks of local streams & rivers. A salute to the hearty foragers who bring these delectable wild treats to us, vended from their favorite roadside pull offs and parking lots in Downeast Maine. These pickers were spotted on Tues., right next to Cadillac Mountain Sports on High St. in Ellsworth. Six bucks a pound. Clean & lean with the stems trimmed nicely. Get them while you can!
